My new GEC Furtaker

I picked up one of these in jigged Bubinga last week and I'm really impressed. Jigged wood gives a really warm feel and looks great - plus its got the beaver shield instead of the "Tidioute" shield. These are really nice, GEC just seems to get better every year.

I got to handle one of these in person at the Badger knife show this past weekend. Have to say that I was mightily impressed. Perfect size and blade choices. Would certainly like to own one in the nebulous future.

Oh yea, very nice design. I really like the furtaker blade. It sits out and is easy to get a hold of. My most recent is a muskrat FT in the Rhubarb. Yours is a great one in the stag. I also like the bolster design.

Nice Pick, I really like the looks of this GEC frame, blade and handle material.

LOL Just what I needed to see at a time when I'm trying to save money. :D

Yeah, I snagged one a few weeks back also. I really like it. But it may be the first slipjoint I bought soley on the looks of the shield. :o
I thought the beaver to be too cool.

I like it a lot. VERY solid. I got lucky on the thicker stag. Fits my hand just right

The stag handle on that knife is just stunning. I think that would be a pouch or sheath knife for me as I'd be afraid that the change/keys in my pocket would chip/wear the stag.
