AW man! Thank gawd I'm not the only guy that tests my edge on leg hair.


It makes for some awkward social moments around non-knife folks... the bald spots give the appearance of some sort of terrible social disease. But what the hell do I care.

When i was doing some competitive body building, i had to shave pretty much all my body hair... if i had discovered busse back then, it might have made for interesting threads!

Don't know what the one star crap is, and don't care.

Please don't stop posting, it helps to keep fresh threads flowing through. I've seen forums take themselves too seriously and die, due to lack of interest. Social forums/communities only thrive when they are constantly tended by those interested. If this just becomes "Ask Jerry," i probably won't come here very often. No offense, Mr. Busse.
 
Thank you for that sir. I appreciate that i'm not unanimously disliked. For a bit there, it seemed like the general consensus was "shut up and go away"

I don't much care what one or two people think of me, but i didn't come here to cause trouble.
 
far as I can tell there is no rule regarding the number of threads a person is allowed to start, and he is posting about Busse blades, really isn't a big deal. Over in the yard when the 1311 was announced folks were starting useless threads right and left just to get their post counts up because they wanted in on the offer, nobody said a word. So he upped his membership to gold to sell a blade, good for him and the guy who was lucky enough to score it. There is no reason to attack people, especially newbies here who just want to get involved in the forums. Lighten up folks :rolleyes:

I was surprised to see a few folks stomping on BP's gonads as well. Hell, just the fact that he had the balls to buy a Gladius in the first place says something for the guy; if I had one I would be pretty damn excited too. And if folks are gonna start talking trash about people flipping knives, the moderators are going to have their hands full for a while. Seems as though there is at least one member here that needs to step away from the keyboard and go beat on his Busse.

BP, for what it's worth I appreciate your contributions as much as anyone else's and as long as it's Busse related, I don't see the harm. If it's not that stimulating of a thread, you'll know based on the lack of responses...works for me.

FWIW - I know I've made more than a few regretful posts while under the influence of enthusiasm (and at times addmitedly in the depths of relapse :/ ), so for what it's worth you're not alone...shit I even had my own "Gladius incident" over an SHBM that I initially loved and then ended up selling within a week because I decided not modify it to get the perfect handle feel I was wanting for an $800 knife...doesn't mean I won't be trying out the NMSHBM though ;)

The only Busse related post that would really start to bother me might be constant "I'm getting a __________ and I'm excited" (I have been guilty of this before)... Might it be a worthwhile idea to start a sticky for at least these kinds of threads?

But yeah BP, don't take take the hostility personally....i know id miss your contributions :thumbup:
