or maybe ill put it in the shop since it's so hard to keep up with the kids fingerprints on stainless.

That is one pimped out grinder(I think?!!!) My grinder is a rat rod and yours is a new corvette. Sweet setup. How bout some specs?

A few mods and you could have a sweet cheese grater!

Love it. All the lightening holes give it a modern art like appearance. Makes me want to change my grinder in progress into an Art Deco or Art Nouveau style but alas it will probably end up a rat rod too.

Nice! Love the art deco/steam punk look. That must have taken some time to build there!

And it flips horizontal very easy - NICE!!! Now, what RPM is the motor and what is the diameter of the drive wheel? Just looking, it looks like that belt speed is going to be FAST!!!!!!

That surely is a labor of love - too pretty to get in my dirty shop!!!

8'' drive, 6'' idler, 3600 rpm, 7500 fpm, horizontal flip, over center cam belt release, two tool pockets, the 1'' holes are there for lightening, cleaning, and the lower front one will allow me to attach a 16'' wheel in the future. all main parts on the grinder including guards, pivot pins, tracking knob, belt release handle, and idler axle are stainless. this will be mostly for surface grinding. im sending my 7 1/2'' x 2 1/2'' wheel to contact rubber soon to get 90 duro serrated and become a 9 1/2'' wheel.

WOW, Mike, WOW !!!
And maybe in the future you could show of us ignorants what that will need to work as a surface grinder? I hope.

Mike-E, That is the most beautiful grinder I have seen to this date. I would love to see how your surface grinder attachment works...I am using a Travis Wuertz adapted to my Grinder in a box horizontal build and am interested in how yours is working out. Nice work all around!!! More photos and maybe some video would be nice if you have the time. I am jealous of your design and skill at finishing your tool. Larry

7600 SFPM - WOW!!!! That thing will throw some sparks!!! I'd sure hate to try a finish bevel on that {g}

Yes, by all means - more info on your surface attachment - Please?

Mike,
I would have given you an A+ grade if you had buffed it to a mirror finish. Unfortunately, since you didn't buff it out I can only give you an A. Better luck next time. Great machine!!
