My thoughts on the knife are this.
Pro's:
EXTREMELY sharp. already cut myself 3 times. Hahahaha.
Very light
Great feel
Comfortable
VERY strong

Cons:
The carbon fiber is textured. I thought it was going to be smooth like my Benchmade CF handles. Little disappointed
The slide release mechanism is plastic. It feels cheap. Would like to have seen Titanium or stainless.

Ya the plastic machanism seems a little cheap. With a knife at that price it should be at least stainless steel, CF would be nice. For the g-10 model I can live with it.Great knife.

I'd definitely pick up this knife if it was a lockback. I just am not keen on the ball lock. The exposed spring makes me worried that cleaning will be an issue.

Beautiful knife though.

Well, its the CBBL, or Caged Ball Bearing Lock. Of course the cage has to be something besides metal because then what would be the point of caging the lock? You just want something that's grippy, don't you?

I think what you meant to say was that your glad that the CF has texture and isn’t smooth like Benchmade’s.

Nice pics BTW:thumbup:

I'd like to see a black blade and black liners version. All that jimping on the liners looks way too busy in silver.

Question for ya: With the knife closed, if you hold back on the latch tabs, and flick your wrist out, will the knife snap open? I ask because of recent changes in TX knife laws...

Assuming you release the latch so the blade doesn't bounce back, then yes, it will.

Awsome score on the S90V! I have a 154cm version with G-10 and I love it. For a user, nothing about this knife feels cheap to me.

The "plastic" is actually a high tech polymer. Sal has a post floating around here.

Nice pictures there, glad you like it.

Yes if you release the ball thing you will be able to flick the blade out.

I was reading about that case in BLADE Magazine. It's scary that judges like this can issue rulings when having NO clue as to the difference between a switchblade and a assisted opener, even when it is cleary written and defined

Well the new law pretty clearly makes the Kershaw Onion series assisted openers legal (it was designed with that in mind I believe), but is so poorly worded that it sure appears to declare the Captive Ball/ Axis locks of Spyderco & Benchmade as switchblades, since to my knowledge they lack a bias towards closing.

Plastic is a general term for polymers, high tech or not.:)
True, but from one mammal to another, would you say the CF Manix 2 has plastic handles and a metal blade?

Also true, but on the same token I wouldn't say "this high tech polymer tab feels cheap", either. I have seen this argument come up a few times, for the clear piece of polymer on the Manix 2 I believe calling it plastic is perfectly adequate and to note that it feels cheap is just his opinion or review of this product.:)
