He mentioned etch-o-matic, make your own isn't too bad either, I think a lot of people do that.

I used Chris Crawford Knives design and it now costs now about $85 in parts from Radio Shack. I think he has put out the most popular plan, but I have seen others on the net also.

Carl, I built my etcher using the plans that are available out there online. Chris Crawford has a step-by-step he did based on the plans put together by Bob Warner.

I bought pretty much everything at Radio Shack, and it took a couple of hours to put it all together.

I considered building my own but I took one look at the wiring diagram and got so confused that I just went and found one for sale on kijiji
