  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

My new Mnandi - cracked inlays? :(

I'm glad this worked out for you.
Really nice wood by the way.
The reading was like a crime story, very exciting -even more since I use a bocote Mnandi as well.

I do have one question: the nail nick looks different to a regular Mandi. Can anyone explain why?
TIA

PS: I've checked some pictures of Mnandis, but couldn't find a similar.

Nice folder and glad it turned out to be a very happy ending! Usually have to pay double for that. ;)

I love the mnandi. It doesn't get caught up in your pants. Its my office knife during the week.

I'm not sure exactly, but I've read that this was some kind of experimental nail nick that CRK made a small number of. I've only ever heard of one other person that had one like this. Not sure how many were made. I like that it's different. Maybe someone from CRK can clarify this? I've never heard an official answer.

i would send it back. while it seems ok unless u got an amazing price on it i wouldnt be happy.

Have you ever heard of anomalies that make a collectible item worth exponentially more than usual? I'd be hanging on to it if it works right and presents no problems. Check it out at least.

Not a bad idea to read the whole thread prior to commenting... ;) I'm guilty of doing the same thing sometimes...

To the OP, glad you got it worked out to your satisfaction.
