My New Moose

My Case Moose arrived today, and I'm very pleased with it:

The scales are antique bone and the closed length is 4 1/4 in.

This pocket knife, of course, is intended to complete a set of Nessmuk recommended knives that I own. I've got the BR Lil Nessie and two handmade nessies (one a custom) by Jay Mulcahy.

So why did Nessmuk prefer the Moose to a Trapper? I dunno. Maybe it was because the Moose offers redundancy in the critical pivot area.

HDW, I really like the "Moose" pattern myself! These are a couple of pics of a 1981 CV bone-handle "Moose" I got off Ebay a couple of weeks ago.

Hmmm. I can see my own pics, but there have been posts from other individuals that only came through to me as Xs. Can't explain it.
