Hi all, I made up a Nessmuk type knife But this one is on the thicker side
it is a 3.5" long 0-1 steel by 5/32" thick and has a 4" handle with orange
G-10 for the handle scales. I have been using it in the kitchen and so far
so good. I does slice really good for being a thicker steel. Here is a few pics
of it and a fuzz stick I made up to.

Well what cha think?

oooohh.... I like that one bryan! I might have to hit you up for one of those!!! That g10 looks sweet!!!!!

Blade's a little short for a nessie if you ask me, at least for an outside nessie. But it would make a nice EDC.

The shape looks nice.

Looks really good. For that style of knife, I'm a bit more partial to the brown mircata and a thinner stock steel. I think the above blade in 3/32" stock would be an ideal companion to my 5" pathfinder!

Hi all thank for the comments yea I really like the orange ans part of my living
I have a tree cutting business and when kathy and I are out in the timber
I really like the thought of being able to see my knife if set down or dropped.

Yea 3.5" is shorter than I really care for I really like 5" the best but for a smallerblade lengths it is a good length. and as for a edc it realy is a good length. In time I will make another in a thinner thicknes. I was just messing around with this piece of steel it was in the scrape bin just waiting to be made into some thing sharp and curey:D

Kgd yea that 3/32" is just a awesome thickness too. That is the thickness
that me wife wanted her Kelly knife in for the kitchen. That thickness
does slice like a champ.

Thanks again for the comments all,

Bryan

I have the Nessmuck that Bryan made up with the brown micarta scales, and I find it to be a very useful size. I also have one of his 4" Pathfinders. Both knives are well made, with good attention to detail, and feel great in your hand. Now I'm feeling the need for a nice small utility type blade to round out my Breeden quiver.

I think the big pins you used on both fit the look perfect. That handle looks beefy too. Did you convex it? You have some real fuzz stick skills Bryan, we don't get to see much of them.
Good stuff.

I like that natural canvas micarta version. Really sweet!

Hi every one, Thanks again for the comments on this knife.

Yea Bear I convexed the edge on this one too. I have been chatting with
knife maker Richard Edwards and he told me what he does and how he does the convex on the edge and it is night and day difference in the sharpness.
And it does not bite to deep in the wood for making up fuzz sticks like I have
had on some other knives from other makers do not ask why I can not tell you why. But it just seems to not do that. It just glides right along
the wood When making up fuzz sticks and carving.

jds1 yea that micarta handle really felt good it just makes you want to cut some. Reaaly good control while using it.

Take care all,

Bryan
