My new Osprey Long Bow

Very nice! Glad to see im not the only archer on this forum!
just picked up a bow too, but it's a little on the different end, it's a
mission ux2:D, i like both traditional and modern bows!
Oh and nice group you've got there, distance?

I can shoot out to about 25 yards in my back yard. When I practice I start at a spot (distance undetermined) and shoot an arrow. Then I either walk forward or backwards a few steps and take another shot. Do this back and forth until I have shot all my arrows. That way I do not stand in one spot and shoot. I shoot truely instinctive, I pick a spot, stare at it and when I hit anchor the arrow is gone. I am very poor at judging distances so I can not use gap or string walking as a method. I have been shooting one bow (recurve) for about 12 years, now I have this awesome shooting longbow.

What a beauty!! Great to see other trad archers in here. I have a similar set up by Dick Robertson. LOVE IT!!! Enjoy your bow, and good luck this season.

these are great looking bows... i got to check one out this weekend.. they look like sweet shooters... there was a guy who was shooting one, in the group behind us at the shoot this past weekend.. i thought the limbs kind of reminded me of bacon up close..:o

LOL :) Add some bacon scent, and maybe some bits for texture, and you've successfully combined my reasons for living :p

Great Bow.

Looks nice!
I just picked up a Zipper to play with while my Brackenbury is out getting new limbs.
Once I get a nice day I'll post pics.
