I have been wanting to make myself a Leather possibles bag for a while now. I had a Sunday to myself and decided to make one up. It was MUCH MORE work than I thought it would be.

I had never seen anyone build a sheath into their bag so I thought what the hell. Some things didn't work out as well as I would have liked. The flap could be a bit longer, but I am still going to take it out and use the crap out of it.

That is VERY cool! Nice work, and great idea building the sheath like that.

Wow.... :)

IIRC Nessmuk sewed his sheath in to his bag but I like the design of yours a lot. Very cool.

nice work! ...but I think they are called a "possibles" bag - not a "possibilities" bag.

Did you sew a welt into the sheath?

What oz. leather did you use, and how did you stitch it (machine or by hand)?

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Shawn, practicing my Leather work for your monster Sheath! Haha

I stand corrected... Possibles Bag! I will change the title as to not look like a doofus! (Too late for that I am afraid)
Yes there is a Welt in the sheath
7-8 Oz. leather
Hand stiched

I like the attached sheath as well- very nice! :)

what are you plans for bits stored in the bag?

Very nice!
When I made mine for my first rendezvous I put the sheath like yours but on the back of the bag. I also sewed a antler button to the flap and had a piece of rawhide cord from inside the bag through a hole in the bottom. You just put the flap down and wound the cord around the button for a secure fit. You then don't have to worry about the flap hole getting bigger etc.
But once again very nice bag, you are a craftsman.
