Picked up a Knives of Alaska Bushman Combination set a few days ago and so far I love it.
Ive only gotten a chance for about an hours worth of outdoor use with it so I cant say much about it yet, but soon as I do get to put it through the ringer I'll write some more.
I can say, its feather light and you barely even notice you are wearing it. The knife is made from D2 Tool Steel and has a great forward angled blade that for its weight provides some serious chopping power. Finish is nice, blade is shaving sharp out of the box and is all around very comfortable to use.
The saw that comes with the set is plenty aggressive and does its job.
Ill write it up after some good use.
I would love to have a custom nylon sheath made for this so if anyone has any recomendations.

I got the Cub Bear about 2 years ago while on a trip to Alaska. I had never heard of the brand but looked good and it was a souvenier. WOW, I love this little knife. I use it everywhere, its real comfortable and keeps a great edge. The only downside to it is the sheath, its a little annoying but one day I will make one for it. I bought some kydex a while back but havent got around to it.

Ok that 2nd link worked! How long is the blade on that chopper? The set looks nice!

Brian,

The Blade is 9 1/2 Inches, with a total knife length of 14 3/4.

Oh, and isnt the guy who use to make the "survival sheath" a member of the forums? anyone know contac t info?

If I hadn't been told that was a knife, I would have called it a sword!

....NOT that there's ANYthing wrong with that.
