My new Schatt & Morgan jacks...

Congratulations! Those are both sweet, especially the sc jack! "One other thing I should say about these is that they are both pretty sharp" Every now and then you win the Queen lottery, take it when you can get it! The Series XVIII seems to be one of the better series!

Congrats on your 1st Schatts Ed! I really am partial to the 18 Series set, not only good lookin handle material but also a good selection of patterns.
And bein's how this is a "new Schatts" thread I thought I'd join in ;)
Here are a couple of Gunstocks, they have the "flat" or squared off bolsters. Both have a Spear main, 1 with a clip secondary & 1 with a pen.

Awesome knives Ed, Im not too sure which I likie the most?...they are both realnice knives!!
Now that you have handled them....pass 'em on there brother :D

Thanks for the comments, Duncan. I may pass them on, but not just yet. I'm carrying the swell center today. The pulls on these knives are pretty strong. I'm not sure which one is going to be my favorite, but that brownberry bone is really pretty. I like the effect of the reverse worm groove on the Series XX knives, but I'm not particularly thrilled with the color of the bone. I didn't buy it for the bone color anyway, but the knife as a whole. I like that one a lot. Both of these knives are sturdy and weigh more than you would expect for knives their sizes. They are short of custom standards, but they are very well made production knives. My very first ever Schatt & Morgans; won't be my last (well, I did pre-order two heritage series knives), but they won't be the last either.

Dave, I really like that stag whittler. Whittlers have really grown on me in the last 6 months or so.

LOL...good on you Ed, as you should know by now I am joking...I always love reading your posts, and seeing your knives...
I know what you mean by strong pulls, sometimes the too-stronger pull ruins a stunning knife, i have only just recently tamed my newer GEC...as we know they tend to come out with strong pulls as well.
Please Ed...keep showing us more, ...here is my latest...you should see this in the sun...deep emerald!!..yet inside-as black as my ex mother-in-laws eyes lol...
BEHOLD!!!!!
My new baby....

Duncan, you really did a nice job composing those fotos and the knife is stunning. Your compositions are a lot better than my pile of bricks or piece of sticky back vinyl floor tile. I guess, I'm going to have to start doing a little better. - Ed

biglmbass...thank you my friend, ...when you look at the knife though...its no different to Eds, ...i think that Ed has started a great thread ( as per usual ), and the knives that he has shown are awesome, this isnt my first Schatt & Morgan, but is my first in this pattern...man..this is one BIG knife!!
How do you find yours ed?...almost too big? I have one like Daves Muskrat( verynice knives matey :D ) although he beats me..his is one of 20!!!!...mine is 1 of 400...I love it!!
Hey Ed...dont knock your photo's brother!!...they are just awesome, and please keep them coming :D
Jeff...( blackmamba ) ..he knows this knife very well :D....thank you friend for selling me this stunning knife.

Duncan, I don't have one of those big trappers. That's a whole lot of knife. The only thing big enough around here to require a knife that big is a couple of long horn steers up the road at a neighbor's house. That knife is a beauty.

The closest thing I've got to that is a Camillus knife that I gave my dad about 15 years ago before he passed away. My favorite trapper is a Case or Queen (maybe a Schatt) mini trapper (3-1/2" closed). I do have some big knives though for big jobs.
