My new small Sebenza does not have the new modifications?

Jump all over me, but this seems to be the answer to your question: http://www.bladeforums.com/ubb/Forum29/HTML/000152.html

I love CR Kinves, but I have been reading how they are in S.A. and will answer when they return. NOW, I'm reading "After the SHOT show..." Which is it???

What's the point of this Forum? ...Isn't it to get informed... and timely, answers from the "Makers" ????

How long does it really take to answer a few questions????

I'm sure that many of you will feel that I am out of line for asking for simple answers: My email is listed....

Thanks Michael for the support of my post.

Maybe Mark is waiting on Chris or Anne to get official word, but the answers have
been indirect and too general to do me much good. I just wanted to know how to GET a
knife with modifications not why there are knives with old scales still available.
I do understand that they have to use the old scales they have lying around...this makes good business sense, but I don't want the old scales on my Sebenza...I already have 4 Sebenzas and wanted to try one with modifications.

I don't think what I'm asking is too much...according to stjames. I'll be patient a little longer and wait until after the SHOT Show.

If you really want an answer from any company then they should be emailed. Anne mainly does the answering on here and I am sure she has a lot of other responsibilities at CRK to take care of. The holidays are a busy time for all of us. Imagine on top of family responsibilities, you have product to produce, workers to take care of, orders to fill, two forums to moderate, phones to answer, emails to answer, payroll, and so on and so on. This is a company with only a few employees trying to do everything. I also know from other makers that they usually work their butts off before a big show. I suggest you call their phone number after the SHOT show.

I hope this doesn't sound like I'm jumping down anybodies throat because that isn't my intention. I'm just trying to put some things in perspective. If you were trying to get an answer from a large corporation you would get an answer quicker perhaps, but it would be from a person who is paid hourly to sit by a phone and answer questions from a manual or something. When you do get an answer from the Reeves it will be authoritative and accurate. I'm sure they will do their best to make you a satisfied customer. Seriously.

Take care,
Paul

Mark, thank's for confirming the story. From the rest of the email you sent me I know that you confirm your replies before posting them. It's not just Anne that can answer our questions at CRK. (And no apologies needed from your part.)

Michael, the holidays in S.A. and Shot show... it's unfortunate that they happen to be so close - I think Chris and Anne only had time to wash some clothes and get the the Shot show... they do answer here too, but now it just happens to be a busy time.

Jeffj, I would imagine the same thing as Johnny. As CRK might have handles without the new cutout for some time still, and because the dealer you are buying knives from might have some of them in stock for some time, the only way to be sure is to ask. I only buy knives from dealers in internet by sending them email about the knife I want. I never use any site which only has a form to fill in. That way I get a personal contact with the dealer, and I'm sure they know what I want. Ok, so therefore I'm probably a 'difficult' customer

And of course if you buy it directly from CRK, then they will surely make sure you get what you want (but you might have to wait for some time...).

Hugo.

I was wondering if Jeff ever got his answer?

Sorry for not updating everybody on my saga until now...I've been busy (unexpectedly). It was my intention since we had already used up so much bandwidth and gathered a curious crowd.

Yep, I got a personal email from Mark as soon as he got back from the SHOT show. He had me call to set up the exchange. stjames was right and I can testify: CRK is a good company with great people!

Now where am I going to find the cash for that Classic Sebenza!
