My new Ti Fluted Military

Congrats on the knife and you've got some major bargaining mojo to drop the price down $200. The ti millie has been in the back burner in my list of wanted knives for some time, but your pictures of that fluted ti has struck my interest, again.
 
Congrats on that knife. Spyderco may be taking the lead with putting grip tread on the titanium/stainless ones.
 
Did they go with the steel insert on the lock-bar, on the newer models of these? I wonder how necessary that is. (I don't see it on this one)
