My New Victorinox Pioneer and Farmer

My pioneer arrived yesterday. I really like it. The size and weight seem to be better for me, but it still feels like a monster compared to my Cadet. Not sure what I'm going to do yet. Had had ordered (2) of each, the Farmer and the Pioneer. I think I'm going to keep (1) of each and sell the others. I "like" the knives, but don't love them to the point where I want to store extras of each.

I know it's only been 2 days, but have you tried to edc the Pioneer?

What are your thoughts?
 
Yes, I've been EDC'ing the Pioneer. Not to bad, but certainly more noticeable than the Cadet. I really like reemer/awl, which is the main reason I want to try to continue to EDC it. If I could find an 84mm Alox version with a reemer/awl, I'd be in great shape, but from what I gather, nothing like that exists. I love the larger blade size of the 93mm Pioneer, but really miss the compactness (if that's a word) of the Cadet.

Have your Pioneer modded to a Solo with an awl...talk to Syph007. I plan on doing that for a cigar knife as soon as I can afford it.

I thought the blade on the standard Alox Solo was longer/larger than the blade on the Pioneer/Farmer. Am I mistaken?

Yes...the Alox Solo blade is a Pioneer/Farmer blade...the 108mm Solo you were looking at has a bigger/longer blade.
