I got this yesterday in the mail, an Aitor Oso Blanco, and immediately took it out into the bush for a small field test. The grip is good, not the most comfortable, but good. For it's size (I believe it is a 7 1/2" blade) it well balanced and provides just the right weight for chopping. Not to mention the blade shape in relation to chopping works well in relations to the balance. I chopped enough to make a lean-to and some large pieces of wood, 2 1/2" - 3" in diameter. The saw on the spine is nothing to make the knife look "cool". It really works as one of the best spine saws that I have ever used. I sawed through 3" pieces of wood with no binding. I was surprised at that. After all was said and done the edge was still good. I was timid for some reason about using Aitors in the past, but after using one I feel confident about having one in the bush with me. In fact I want a few more Aitors. So if anyone has a Jungle king 1 or 2 that they want to trade, I have plenty of stuff. Just drop me an email.
Here's a pic of the blade

I think this used to called the Cuchillo de Monte in the late 1980s. I always wanted one, but never got it. They made a smaller version also. If I remember right, they came with a small survival kit in the back of the sheath.

I would recommend getting the JK2 first to most people before the JK1 unless you are looking for a really big knife. The JK1 is large and heavy (I would keep this in a pack as opposed to by belt). The JK2 is surprisingly light considering what you get with it (you actually have 2 knives because of the handy little harpoon that rides in the sheath). But ultimately you should buy both!!
