My new ZT 0620CF (Emerson)

Nice, good to know. The reviews I've read so far have all been very good.
I feel for you, but it will be worth the wait. This knife is superb.
I can't stop playing with it. Haven't enjoyed a new knife this much in quite a while.:)

I just got a 0620 recently. The action on it is super smooth - almost as smooth as my 0550.

The only other ZT I have ever owned is my 0550, and I love that knife, however, I would have to say that (at least this particular example) the 0620 is definitely smoother than the 0550.
Don't get me wrong, 0550 is definitely smooth, however, it seems to be like the difference between rollerblading and ice skating.

I had a slightly noticeable stick when I went to close the knife just before it hit the detent. A day of flipping got rid of that problem and now it's just as buttery smooth as everyone else claims it to be.....at least I hope so, haha.

My zt 0620cf has arrived, man it is awesome!!

This knife has superb fit and finish, very smooth as well. I might be enjoying this knife slightly more than you haha
Congrats man! Hope you enjoy yours as much as I am enjoying mine.

I doubt it! Ha ha.
I am loving mine. It may give my Emerson ETAK a run for it's money.

I have no previous experience with M390 steel, but I touched up this blade last night on a 1000 grit ceramic stone, and HOLY COW! It is now stupid sharp, and it did not take much effort.

Nice, m390 is supposed to have very good edge retention as well. As soon as mine starts to dull noticeably I'll sharpen her up.

I have also read that M390 has excellent edge retention. My knife had not dulled at all, I just knew I could get it sharper than the factory edge. I was right! :)

I got my 0620CF last week, and I thought i would like. ZTs have always been good to me..But Wow!! I love this knife Ti framelock, steel insert M390 sharp as sharp can be.And it waves and flips (no wrist flicK) perfectly right out of he Box and thats on Bronze washers. the only tiny issue I had was the Blade as slightly off center, well I fixed it and I love it.
I am going to go a wee bit overboard ith it, as far as Ti standoffs and a deep carry clip and Im looking to get a Ti show scale made for it, I just this morning got a new Chavez 228 and granted its nice, but Im still carrying the Wave It knocked my hyper 90 right out of my pocket as well(for now). just my two pieces of copper

I keep finding myself looking at the ZT 620CF, but I cant help but feel like the frame side is overly plain. I would power pounce on one if there were some texturing like the 0560. That would be wicked.

ZT 0621?

ZT 0621?

If you want slightly fancier, go to USAmadeblades and get one anodized. They anodized a few of the ZT 620, but not the 620cf, but probably would if you asked.

Great knife. I would not miss out just because they are not textured, although textured would be cool.

I received my copy of the ZT0620 last week from Kershawguy.com -

This knife is awesome!

I have drawn more blood with this one in the first few days than any other knife - it came absolutely screaming sharp from the factory.

Smooth and yes, I could flip it open with just my thumb even when it was frozen from being in the mailbox in near zero temps.

It has good detent, is comfortable in hand, and has a confidence inspiring heft.

The peel ply carbon fiber is really cool - it is smooth and good looking, but it still has some texture and allows a good grip.

I have used it to cut open bundles of firewood and it has stayed very sharp.

I do like M390, this is a good sized slab of that steel for a great price!

best

I was really debating between the 0562 and the 0620. I opted for the 0562 just because I feel the blade shape is more practical for EDC.
I am sure I will probably end up getting a 0620 as well probably sooner rather than later.

I'm not a real big fan of sub 4" blades and have never been a big wave fan but I have taken a liking to the 620CF at 15° the 390 edge is nothing short of wicked, the fit & finish is outstanding as well as the ergo's....One of ZT's very best EDC
pieces to date (IMO).
