Beautiful Fisk, Darby. A knife anyone would be very proud of.
The handle is reminiscent of one of the old discontinued Ruana bowies.
I tried to order a knife from Jerry a couple of years ago, but he never answered my emails. He must be a very busy maker. No hard feelings though. I'll try again someday.

Thank you for the comments. I am proud to have it. I need to ask a question though: You all don't think someone is bragging when they post a newbie like this do ya? I sure hope not. I NEVER WANT TO GIVE THAT IMPRESSION! I had shared it with a few friends, then thought I would go ahead here and TEST the waters...not saying...well, you know what I'm saying. I want to be considered SHARING and that is all.

It's a reproduction of the half-horse/half alligator. It's the only one he will make, although he will make simaliar; reclining lion, ect. I AM SURE JERRY'S OVERSITE A FEW YEARS AGO WAS JUST THAT! AN OVERSITE. THAT IS NOT HIS CHARACTER. PERIOD! He would not be where he is today if that had been his norm. PLEASE give him another try! Think of the CHILDREN.

I first contacted Jerry in 1994; I ordered a slip joint pocket knife. At the time, he told me it would be at least a two year wait.
I gave him my # and he contacted me in 1996. I was embarresed because I didn't have the money at the time. He told me it was not a problem and he understood. He asked me if I wanted him to call the next year, and I told him yes. HE CALLED DECEMBER 1997! I was really surprised...but I was ready. Even after that, he allowed me to be put on his yearly list!!!!!!!!!!! I have received one every year since. THAT SHOWS HIS CHARACTER!!! I hope to remain on that list as long as I can and as long as he will let me. He has become a true friend... I LOVE THIS KNIFE THING!!!!!!!!!!

Darby,IMO you keep posting all the Fisk pics you like.For that matter ,any knife.I think it's great when someone takes the time to share a pic. I would really hate to think I might miss a chance to have a look and a drool for free. BTW absolutely fantastic looking knife,thanks for sharing the pic and the insight.
