Great Eastern Cutlery: #48 Tidioute - Trapper - Smooth Ivory Bone

I kept staring at it on the KSF website for about a half a day.My Wife thinks im crazy, lol

heres the pic from the website I bought it at and as soon as it arrives ill put my horrible photography skills to work.

Classy!

I've been staring at a certain blade on KSF for 2 months. Haha. I know the feeling.

I don't blame you, that is a beautiful knife. I have been using a #48 jack for a couple of weeks and really like it. They carry pretty nice for there size.

Although it's a bit longer than my favourite carry size, GEC's #48 frame is one of their best ones indeed (ask Trand :p) so no wonder you pulled the trigger ;)

Very nice! I really like that smooth bone.

I can relate. I've been stuck in analysis paralysis over four different knives on KSF.

I can relate too ;) If a knife on any of the dealer sites catches my eye for more than a minute, I know I'm a goner. It'll stick in my mind till I have it in my hands. Man....I've got it bad.

That smooth ivory bone sure looks good....no..nooooo....look away nOW!!!!

Very nice! Ive had my eye on an ivory 48 for over two weeks now. Let me know how you like the bone once it gets in with more pics. Then again, my wallet, and wife, would be grateful if ya didn't. Don't worry....my wife thinks I am crazy as well. :)

Thanks guys, I can't wait to get it. I order all my G.E.Cs from KSF they really do actually read and do what you request in the comments section when you place an order, especially if you have any pet peeves about things when buying a knife like I do.

That's a great looking #48!!! I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

I have seen some pictures of 48's that appear to have proud backspring at the half stop. Can anyone confirm if that is true? Or does the 48 not have a half stop?

My 48 improved trapper has both half stops and proud springs at the half stop. Its still an awesome knife tho, highly recommended.

Great pattern and excellent choice! Congrats on that one. My dad just picked one up with the clip and wharncliffe blades. It's a pattern I never really paid attention to until I handled his over the weekend but it's definitely one I wouldn't mind owning now.
