Correct. Did you check out that patina thread? Once you get over the horror of not having a pristine blade, you will come to see patina as a thing of beauty. It took me a while too.

Quick update...this thing is awesome in the kitchen! Use it, stab into a jar of coconut oil, wipe away excess and it's good to go.

Thank you for updating us! I love getting reports from the field. Now we're gonna need a whole series of SR101 kitchen knives so we can replace our dull stainless kitchen knives.
