Correct. Did you check out that patina thread? Once you get over the horror of not having a pristine blade, you will come to see patina as a thing of beauty. It took me a while too.So what I've gathered from the recent replies is....
It'll be awesome for food prep, no dishwasher, and use a cutting board.
