What differences are there between the mil version and the regular?

It is basically the same knife but with a few minor differences. Here they are; fully sharpened glass breaker, Canvas Micarta handles, and unique serial number for each knife. They are only offered to law enforcement and military personal unless you find someone that is willing to sell you theres.

Is it possible to purchase a Military RAT as a gift for friends enlisted with the Navy and USCG? I'm not in military myself so would I be able to get one for them?

Now you have me curious, Tony. How did you get your hands on that? And a low serial # too. Serial #s 001 through 0120 went to USMS SOG, so you have a very low serial # on that knife.

I agree! I especially like the color combo; that's the best combo I've seen so far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And it came with the foliage sheath, that's great too.
