My Newest RC Blade

I think it's probably the nicest thing that RC has put out to date as far as looks go.

Now you have me curious, Tony. How did you get your hands on that? And a low serial # too. Serial #s 001 through 0120 went to USMS SOG, so you have a very low serial # on that knife.

Jeff

Sorry Jeff, I did not read the whole thread over to answer your question, I have a Friend in the armed forces and I helped him out with a few things and he Gifted this bad boy to me...I am honored to own one...I love it.... He knows I love RC blades....:D and a few weeks later this shows up out of the blue....

Hang on to that one Tony. Like I said, low serial # since 0001 through 0120 went to the USMS. The MIL is getting real popular with law enforcement so some day that low serial number may be worth a cup of coffee or something. ;)

I am still pondering the idea of Snagging one of the SWAT RC3's,I like the looks of them as well ! the Red liners really stand out !!

Why on earth are these only available to "certified law enforcement and military"??? (according to the website)

How about selling them to TAXPAYERS? I pay an egregious sum every year in taxes that go partly towards the government contracts that pay for these luxuries.

I am new to the forum but I'm a RAT fan and own three blades (two RC-3's and an RC-4). However I am increasingly frustrated that the nicest models such as RC-3MIL are only available to people with connections like texastony.

Please. Stop with this LEO-only nonsense.

Welcome Bananafish...
Dude ,anybody can buy the SWAT version...I did a favor for a person in the military w/o knowledge of receiving the RC3mil. version as a gift...So connections NO,Lucky...I like RAT Cutlery selling special versions to LEO & Military...nothing wrong with that..Gun manufactors do the same thing.....Hell I want a Glock 18...can't get one though....WE All pay Taxes.....that has nothing to do with anything....no matter who's money goes where... Welcome to Rat Cutlery BF

I didn't meant to say SWAT.

I also wasn't knocking on you. I'm glad you were able to get a MIL. I wish everyone could could get one. We're not talking about firearms, we're talking about a piece of cutlery.

Though there's no doubt the cachet of the RC-3MIL is enhanced by the lack of availability. Some collectors probably prefer that. I'm not one of those.

Bananafish........ First off welcome to the forum. RC knives are OUTSTANDING however....... I feel I must say.......

NONSENSE!!!! Give me a break. Without LEO's and military personal like myself you would not have the freedoms that you obviously take for granted. I take personal offense to your statement. I have given 14 years thus far to this country all the while paying the same taxes that you pay. As far as the luxuries that you speak of..... I guess you mean spending months at a time away from loved ones. All the while taking enemy fire and hearing how we should not be doing what we are doing. Even while not in combat, working 14 to 16 hours a day in subpar conditions that the most average person in America would not do for double the pay that the Army pays.
LEO's....... these are the men and women that protect you daily! I guess they have the luxuries you are speaking of right. The get to work countless hours working with the scum of the earth, taking criminals off your streets and keeping drunk drivers from hurting you or your family.

Since when have knives like those produced by RC become luxuries? These are tools of the trade. These LEO and military knives are used to complete a mission.

Tony got one because HE deserves it. He has supported a LEO or military personal and for that he deserves to carry and USE this blade.

Hey. Like I said, I am happy you got a RC-3MIL. :)

But frustrated that I can't get an RC-3MIL too.

Not trying to start trouble. I've been a member and lurking reader of this forum for a year. In fact I have a fourth RAT knife on backorder - an RC3 in orange.

I am glad you own some RC blades...Be sure and enter the monthly drawing on the RC site...to win a RC blade... Did you Know I am the one who pushed for the Green & Orange Combo? I will pick up a RC3 & RC4 in that color combo....Enjoy the RC blades and The RAT Cutlery forum again Welcome....I am going to bed...TTYL !

Sorry. I meant no offense.

By luxuries I meant only the coolest color combinations being available to LEO-only.

Thanks for the apology! I am sorry if my last was a little harsh but I am pretty touchy about military and LEO personal. I am glad that you are a RC fan. They are excellent knives with customer service that is second to none.

This RC-3 made my decision on "which" RC-3 pretty easy.

I'll be ordering one this coming week!

Thanks, Jeff and Mike!
