My newly finished BK2 sheath

It looks really good. One concern without a welt would you be concerned with slicing through it while putting the knife in the sheath? I love the colour, what dye did you use?

Thanks. I am a little concerned about it, but only time will tell. It is mahogany.

It's amazing how once you think you've seen it all someone comes up with a new idea. I like the belt hook up. I might have doubled it and sewn around the loops to stiffen it up, probably would give it a longer life span too. Also a welt or rivets so you don't cut the threads. The idea is great!

Thanks Bandido! Always good to have positive feed back :thumbup: I'm actually working on another style of it now. I'll post pix of it in this thread when it's done.

The reason I don't have a welt sewn into it is because it's molded leather only on the top. The bottom of the sheath is just a flat piece with the molded piece sewn onto the top.

I do like the idea of doubling up the material on the wings. I might have to do that on the next one.
