My Newton bowie.

Wow that is a beautiful knife Keith. I hadn't been into this thread in a while and was really surprised to see it done when I clicked on it this morning.

A truly beautiful knife, what a great piece for any collection.

This is a tremendous piece for your collection. I'm not sure how you can top this.
The f&f are outstanding.
Just outstanding!

Ron has proven himself to not only be a fantastic craftsman and outstanding artist, but he has shown himself to be a great guy to work with. He has always taken the time to return emails even when it would have been more productive to have been in the shop. He has also been very informative, exceptionally helpful and always willing to please. You couldn't pick a better person to make a knife for you.

I'll second that. All of it.

Roger

Keith, you are a very lucky man indeed. !

Ron, there might be a few Mastersmiths that are a little better than you, but I would be VERY hard pressed to name them.

Here are a couple of pictures of the knife and sheath.

Well guys, I have had this knife for about a month now and figured it was time to let you all know what I thought of it.

This is by far the finest knife I have owned. The fit and finish are second to none. There is absolutely no fault that I can find with how this knife looks and feels. It is a big knife that is light and fast. The handle fits my hand perfectly so the knife is very comfortable to hold. In the appearance department the knife is stunning. It has beautiful lines eand exquisite materials. The damascus fittings look like nothing I have seen before and I am very pleased with how they compliment the rest of the knife. The blade came with a razor sharp edge; both on the primary edge and the sharpened clip. The sheath that comes with this knife is of an excellent quality as well.

I would rate this bowie a 99.9 out of a 100, and that is only because I don't believe that there is such a thing as a perfect knife. Thank you very much Ron, for making me this amazing work of art. I will treasure it.
