My Next Emerson

Hey guys,
I am thinking about my next Emerson, and I am thinking Horseman. I think I have the chance to get a stonewashed plain.
I have the 7 and the 8 It seems logical for me to now get the mini 8..Horseman.
What do you guys think?

Well that was short lived...It was not available after all.

I know what you mean, mack. As nice as the HD7 is, so is the CQC7. And, I like that G10 on both sides of the handle. At this time, my framelock folder is a custom.
 
I'd go with a commander. Many sizes to choose from. I carry a regular 3.75" Commander every day. Love it. I've had a Horseman, but it wasn't for me.

Took the words right outta' my mouth. I woulda' started with a Commander and then progressed to others.

I was checking out the HD Last night. Sweet knife, I would love to check that out with the frame lock.

As I just mentioned to Officer's Match, I've not handled a Horseman. So, I'm wondering what did you not like about it?
 
Sorry I didn't see your question to me until just now. Mine was of poor build quality, and I say that as an Emerson lover. If that one had been my first, it would have also been my last. In addition to my specific specimens shortcomings, I wasn't impressed with the "wave-ability" of the mini-8 design, but once open it was fabulous in the hand. I think you'll like it alot (assuming you didn't end up with my old one ;)). My Commander recommendation was based upon the fact that no other knife I own has created as much of a stir amongst newcomers (to Emerson) once held. The grip and blade angle is magic - truly just grew out of one's arm like a talon.
 
Damn you really threw me through a loop whole with this one! I was originally looking at the mini commander and mini cqc-15. And now I can't decide between the mini commander and horesman! Congrats on the purchase! After you get it tell me what you think

Just got my Horseman..Yippeee
Gonna play with it for while then introduce it to my 7 and 8
