My next framelock?

Allen Elishewitz makes some great frame locks in your price range. I have 2 of his, a Stryker II and a Silver Fox, excellent fit and finish.
Cheers,
Rob

Even though you have a Lochsa coming, the Sebbie IS a fantastic knife and IS wirth own no matter how many customs I own!! I love my Sebbies!! And I DO own some nice customs. As an aside, I have a Lochsa ordered too!

Eh, if you have a Lochsa coming, skip the Sebenza and go with the XM18. Its a hard-use tactical that is made by a good maker, and will keep its value very well. It also has the innovation of the Hinderer Framelock device that's on the Strider SNG. Overall, a very nice package, and infinitely (IMHO) more interesting than the Sebenza. I've had 3 of those, by the by, so I'm no hater, just a realist.

You also might want to consider a Sebenza for thr reasons indicated above plus the fact that the Seb is very replacable. The Lochsa is an awesome knife. John W Smith makes a very nice framelock and I believe you can still get one from him for less than $500. Darrel Ralph also makes a great product.

I wouldn't hesitate to suggest RJ's knives (especially the Devastator and his new Havoc), but they're not frame locks in the "traditional" sense- that is they're not like the Sebenza or the Lochsa. They're more like a frame lock with G10/Micarta overlays. Still strong as all get out, and made by a VERY nice guy who knows his business.

I had a lok at RJ Martin's work and I have nothing against it, but it is not quite what I'm looking for. Perhaps a bit too tactical and mod for me I guess? I prefer something down the TNT, Seb, Lochsa and obviously my C2O.

Thanks for the good suggestions all. You opened a new world for me framelock wise. I have asked Rick to put me on the list for a XM18. I just have to have one!

Greg

What color G-10 are you getting on your XM-18? You will LOVE it!! I can't wait until it gets to you.

You're right about that. I can't wait! I'm not sure which colour to go for at this stage. Thinking blue black or green black? Any suggestions?

Greg

How about orange G-10?? It is awesome on the XM-18, and that is what I have on mine.

It does look good, but it screams a bit too loud. After a hard night out, I'd just not be able to face it :p . I like my knives to just blend......

Cheers,

Greg

My thinking is that everyone has a black knife!! Rick is also making me a lime green XM-18 with the 3 inch blade.

LETS GO ORANGE-oops thought this was the syracuse football forum with all the orange talk-lol

i had a black and blue 3.5 xm18-didnt like the colors that much-orange is a much better color-lol

Hmm.....there is a lot of orange talk here.... Must have something going for it. I will look have another hard look at it when I get the 'Your wait is up - I'm ready to build it' email from Rick.

Kirby Lambert is another good tactical maker. I think he has a couple framelock models.

Another vote for an Airkat folder. I own one my self and they are SUPER COOL.

Cheers,

André
