I have some lanolin based boot goop that brings out some of the streaking. Even on a purely black handle. It's not hugely dramatic but it's noticeable.

If you collect knives or enjoy them, I think this is a must have item. When you consider it is made by native craftsman, in their home country by hand and they are paid well for it, that makes it all the more valuable.
