I have it profiled. Any suggestions before i go forward. I would like to do a full flat grind. And i want a different handle where it meets the blade. Suggestions

Clean the finger area up. I'd get that right before messing with the bevels. I've found it best to do it that way so if i mess something up I can push the plunge line forward if needed, and when I do my bevels, I leave them a little forward till i get close to fully ground as i find myself chasing them some and have gone too far back with them. I'm getting better at grinding so I'm learning to get closer as I go.

Keep going down to the actual paper size or its good how i have it

I would keep going down to the actual paper size .BW , I don t think that this model is good for full flat grind , tip will be very thin and blade distal taper . . . ???

It's rough as it gets, but think of it this way. As ugly as it is it performs well. In fact I still use it all the time. At this point in the hobby you should be focused on learning what makes a blade cut well. Think thin. Then make it thinner. Save that thick stock for camp choppers.
Fit and finish will come with practice, but a beautiful knife that doesn't cut well is a crappy beautiful knife.
