Hello Nakk77! If you are a police officer, you ought to consider picking up a mini-prybar and either a small multi-tool or SAK. I know quite a few cops who are scallywags with their folders and (ab)use them as prybars and screwdrivers simply because they don't carry a proper tool. But if it's the blade you're after, I'd say go for a decent/inexpensive/disposable option, likesay a Byrd Cara Cara 2 or, even better, an Ontario RAT-1. For <$30, you won't be out of pocket much if you have to do something dirty with your knife or somehow break/lose it. Cold Steel has some very decent and tough folders under $100, but you'd still be paying at least double the cost from the ones I've suggested.
I just picked up Ka-Bar Bacon Maker folder and a Kershaw Compound folder, for less than $30 dollars each. Both are well made folders and if you lose them it's not like loosing a $125 Police Spiderco. Both have good steel in the blades and are quality knives. Oh I also like the Ontario Rat.
