It was 1998, and I had been admiring the North American Arms Mini Revolvers for quite a few years. They were neat to me because of their small size. The fact that they were American made, well that made me like them even more
What did I decide to do about it?................ I went ahead and purchased a new in box .22LR specimen from one of my gun dealers.
Though at that point I had fired all the handguns that I had owned, this one was strictly going to be a novelty gun ownership, one that I had no plans to fire (though I had fired some other NAA Mini revolvers belonging to other fellow gun owners).
After the gun sat in a gun cabinet for a while, I started thinking if I should do something to make it a one of a kind (making more of a novelty out of it). This lead me to decide to look into some possible engraving. Went online and did a bit of homework that lead me to a private engraver named "Michael Edward Gouse" (located in the State of Montana). I contacted him and explained what I wanted, which he agreed to do for me. So, I sent the gun out.
When I received it back, he sent along a receipt for the work he had done, and this was all that could prove he had done this work for me (that, and his initials engraved into the frame underneith the grips).
While visiting his website recently, I noticed that he now offers a Certificate of Authenticity for his work. This was something that was not offered at the time he did the work for me, so I contacted him to see if he would be kind enough to have one done up for the work he had done on my gun.
I knew that he was an easy man to deal with, but I can now add the word "generous" as well, since he did this for me free of charge
Anyhow, here is the gun in a display I made for it back during 1998..........
