My novelty handgun.........

You had one that you engraved (your screen name probably means you engraved it yourself)?

Did you ever take photos of it?
If so, could you share?........... I'd love to see them :)

Thanks :)

Yes saw pic from gravertom's work..... and speechless......just ..beautiful.!

I engraved one for the factory back a few years ago now. I met some of the NAA folks at the NRA show when it was in Charlotte. They sent me a LR and a Mag to work on. I did the LR, they said they liked it, but post 911 orders were down. I still have my original design drawings somewhere. They ended up letting me keep the Mag as payment!

I took pics with my old SLR, no digital at that time. I will try and dig up a pic and scan it in.

They are hard to cut because the metal is tough, and they are hard to hold onto. probably could do better now, with more experience in the last year at Turnbull Restoration cutting on guns everyday.

Thanks for the nice words!

Tom

No Jimmy,

I have not met him, but I think I have seen some of his work on the net.

I am still looking for the photos, but here is the design i came up with.

Take care,

Tom

PS those scrolls look nicely cut!

That looks very nice! :)

Over the phone, Michael Gouse did ask me a few times if I wanted more done, including the cylinder, but I declined.
I then sent along a drawing where I shaded in with a yellow highlight marker the area I wanted engraved on the frame.
When the gun went out to him, I even kept the cylinder and cylinder pin at home, since those components were not being engraved.
He was willing to engrave as little or as much as I wanted him to do, but I chose less (just a personal preference).

Have you seen NAA's etched in engraving that they now offer on some of their models?........... Not my cup of tea, I prefer the real stuff ;)

Thanks for sharing your drawing, truly very nice :)

Thank you guys again for the nice comments :)
