Yes, as mentioned a variation on a theme. The variations of these knives in various price ranges are legion due to the popularity back then.....and to some degree now.
Amongst the slew of cheapo 'Rambo' knives, Ive seen a few quality liscenced knives made by a respected knifemaker not too long ago.

mine is full tang didn't have a round handle and the saw saws trough almost everything like a hot knife trough butter
i used this knife in survival trainings and it was perfect im not telling you about a Super Knife Found in my garage in perfect shape
im telling about ''My old military knife'' that I and my dad used in the army , 30 years is a long time even for a survival knife
