My one and only SAK

I really like my Trekker & German Army OHT, but if you want a Alox model my preferance is the Farmer.

I guess after all these suggestions i really should find one that suits my lifestyle. This is gonna be tough, because there are so many good models to choose from.

oh well its gonna be a fun hunt for the best SAK for myself :D

appreciate the advise

I think I've found the perfect SAK every 6 months or so........it's fun searching. I'd suggest a Super Tinker to start, good all around EDC SAK. If you're up for something heavier, try the Craftsman; my current fav EDC SAK.

Though I own and have carried many different SAKs through the years, my current EDC SAKs are a Vic Soldier and Executive. IMO, these two complement each other perfectly; The Executive is often used for grooming, various small chores, etc., and it has the toothpick/tweezers. The Soldier is another one that I use all of the blades/tools at some time or other. It's very important for me that I have some use for every tool on my EDC SAK(s), and these two are currently the best for me.

Can't imagine having just one. That being said I've carried the Soldier just about everyday for years. It's not a bad choice for your first.

The great thing about them is that they are relatively inexpensive. You also may find it difficult to find all that you want in one particular knife--at least in one that is thin enough to actually carry. For me, THE knife is the Farmer. Of all the knives I own, my red farmer is my favorite. (A lot of people feel this way about the Farmer.) It doesn't, though, have scissors or tweezers--and I want scissors and tweezers. So I also carry a small (58mm) Signature. Besides those tweezer and scissors, it also has a retractable pen. It's tiny and weighs a mere 3/4 ounce.

SAKs are like potato chips. You can't have just one.
