My one knife for 6 month design !

Reminds me of an ML in a slightly longer configuration. I bet that you will find a KEEPER in that design. As always - looking forward to your report.

but he ain't no mind reader so if you order a custom from any maker always ensure you explain the details !!!

no truer words ever spoken. :D

I order more custom knives than I should. I do the design work on most of them. The transformation from drawing to finished product takes a long time, as I am in constant touch, by phone and email, about how the knife looks in my mind, and how the blade smith sees it.
Some of the things I do to insure accuracy, is to always provide exact measurements for how I want the dimensions to be. Handle thickness, length, width, and exact shape are important to me.
Blade steel, blade shape, grind, and all other details are given to the blade smith, and then double checked. Then we touch base yet again before forging or grinding.
I need a lot of 'in progress' pictures as well.
All that sounds like I am a PITA to deal with, but then I pay top dollar, know exactly what I want, and go from there.

I like your 'one knife' design a lot. :D

Nice design Pit!!!

As I was reading the post, my first thought was that I wouldn't leave squarish edges on the transitions. Then I scrolled down, and.....perfect!!! :D:

One other modification I might suggest. It is obviously personal preference, but looking down at the top down view, you might want to consider a very subtle and gradual taper of the scales as they go from back to front. I am not talking about a quick transition right at the front or anything like that. I am just talking about a general taper as the handle nears the blade. Just something to think about.

Either way, you will be happy with that knife and Bryan's knives are great stuff

Have fun with it,
B

Just as an update, Bryan is also going to be making me a small EDC to use at times when my belt knife would not be appropriate, this will be a very basic Necker/pocket blade around 5 1/2" total length !

I love that design it sort of like one that I'm working on that I'm going to have Bryan make for me. I'm currently trying to figure out a skinning knife with a very specific handle that I love, Bryan is also going to be making this blade. I have looked all over at custom makers and honestly I've never seen one tiny negative thing about anything Bryan has made. As far as my money goes it doesn't get better then Bryan breeden blades, he puts 110% into every single knife he makes which is hard for anyone. It's like he never has bad days and is some sort of knife making robot. Lol

You figured it out, A disigner named Yan Eeden from the swedish robotics institute. made him. The BR in his name stands for Blade Robot. BRyan BReeden

Pitdog, comes up with some very cool and user friendly knives.

Thanks for knd words Chris. Oh yea I have bad days. Just a couple weeks back I cut the same finger 3 times in the same day with 2 different knives:eek: lol.
