My Ongoing Saga/Troubles With Spyderco Warranty and Reapairs

No Problem John,

We all come out ahead.

I know many will disagree, but In my opinion, rope in general and poly rope in particular really cuts more easily with serrated edge.

I've personally experienced difficulties with very sharp edges and poly line.

I also got out cut on poly by my friend's cheapo 420J buck folder. it was CE, and my mini manix was PE. I duly went and bought the SE salt 1. Problem solved!!

And the reason I went with a 1/2 SE as reccomended by Sal himself. I knew from prior experiance that SE is better. But I've never had a super sharp high quality steel in a knife b4 this, and falsely thought it could out perform. I now realize that even an extremely sharp high RC plain edge is no match for even a low quality SE in cutting rope. So that meens, a super sharp high RC SE like the Sydy's are known for should be the best!!!!!!

Coarse scratch pattern and 80 degrees? I wonder why it didn't cut anything! Oh well, at least Spyderco fixed the problem.
