My OoooOoohhh my...i think i'm getting into fixed blades!

Fixed blades are great, especially if you like camping and the outdoors.
Watch out though there are tons of awesome fixed blades out there.

I started out with folders and kinda lost interest. I actually used to think it was kinda silly to have a bunch of expensive fixed blades. Oh how I have changed my mind...

GEC has a good variety of mid size fixed blades that are well made I have 6 of them stag, elk, bovine handled in 1095 or stainless

Well that is a very hard question to answer.... you looking for customs or semi production or production and your intended use.... It makes all the difference in the world for us to point you in the proper direction with out putting you threw a very expensive process

Funny how tastes and preferences change. I started with folders and went through most of the usual suspects (Sebenzas, Striders, Hinderers, Spydercos, and Benchmades).

Now, my collection is down to 2 folders: Spyderco Dragonfly and an Umnumzaan; and 3 fixed blades: a Busse Magnum Bear Cub, a Mini Fox River in S35VN and a Sissipuukko M07.

If I could EDC the smaller fixed blades I would probably get rid of the Umnumzaan.

There is just something about a fixed blade that's appeals to me. Love my folders too, but I can just stare at a Fallkniven volcano or NL 1 Tor n drool

^^^do not buy one of these unless you want to go very broke, very fast.

It's the Izula Signature Model with Jeff Randall and Mike Perrin's signature on the blade... very nice!

If you're asking who they are:
The parent corporation for Randall's Adventure Training (RAT) / ESEE Knives is TransEquatorial Solutions, Inc, an Alabama corporation. The corporation's stock is equally split between by Jeff Randall and Mike Perrin.

Hello guys,

I've always been a folder guy but now i'm feelling drawn to fixed blades.
The interest began suddenly, probably due to the fact that i can't see anything now in the folder realm that attracts me.
I tried lots of folders in the past few years so i know most of what's out there.
Nothing seems new anymore.
So, i'm waiting on my first fixed to arrive, an Izula for the backpack but i'm already in love with this one:

So, you fixed lovers, what do you suggest for future purchases? :D

Hi,i had always passion for fixed blades.I would highly recommend entirely hand made, forged blades out of Nepal! They also do custom orders, check out Himalayan Imports and also Khukuri House Handicraft Industry webpages...Guarantee you,you will be impressed, both companies are also top class genuine khukuri manufacturers!
