I wanted to give a short list of my blades for the outdoors. This is in no way a complete list of every edged tool I'd ever take with me; just a list of those that come along most frequently when I'm on overnighters and such. Please feel free to add your own. Items listed are carried at the same time, except as noted.
1. Victorinox Rucksack. 3-1/2" blade, toothpick, tweezers, wood saw, corkscrew, reamer, wire stripper, bottle opener, flathead screwdriver, can opener. In nylon belt sheath.
2. Ontario SP8. 10" of 1/4" thick 1095 carbon steel. In standard sheath.
OR
2- Okapi 16" machete, carbon steel blade and orange plastic handle. In black nylon pack-cloth sheath.
3. Leatherman Pulse. 3" blade; pliers; wire cutter; scissors, three flathead screwdrivers, Phillips screwdriver, file, diamond file, saw. In standard nylon sheath.
4. Frosts Mora #740 Craftsman. 4-1/8" carbon steel blade, bright red handle for increased visibility, guard. In black leather snap sheath.
OR
4- Eriksson Mora #911. 4" carbon steel blade, soft plastic handle, small guard. In standard black plastic sheath.
5. Grohmann #1 Canadian Belt Knife. 4" blade of unknown (probably 420HC) steel, offset handle. In standard leather sheath.
OR
5- Frosts' Mora H-2. 4-1/4" carbon steel blade, red wood handle. In standard plastic sheath with nylon belt loops attached.

These are in addition to the knives already on my person... a Victorinox Manager, a Swiss Tech UtiliKey, a Swiss Tech Micro Pro, a Spyderco Spydercard, and usually some sort of one-handed 3.5" folder with a pocket clip.

Pictures will come as soon as I have access to a camera.

Dude you pack some mean steel!!!

You like the Okapi? I love mine, after some edge work, and contoring on the handle, it serves well.

Genuinely curious, why so many at once? Serious question, not a poke...

The Ontario SP8 and Okapi machete are my choppers. They're for felling trees and getting into logs. Some people have recommended using a saw, but using the knives doesn't bother me. Like I said, I'll only be carrying one of these at a time; usually the Ontario.

The Moras and Grohmann are my general-purpose camp knives. They fill the niche between the large fixed blades (the Ontario or the Okapi) and the lighter-duty folders. These are my knives for preparing food, carving goodies, and general camp use. I'm usually carrying two of these - one on my belt and one in my pack.

The Leatherman and Rucksack are my "tool" knives. There's a lot that can be done in the outdoors with a corkscrew, scissors, some screwdrivers, can openers, and so on without actually needing a cork, screws, etc. The pliers on the Leatherman are nice for delicate work when making and setting traps. I usually only have one of these on me; either the Pulse or the Rucksack. I gave more use to the Rucksack by adding one of the micro screwdrivers that threads on to the corkscrew. Useful for untying hard knots.

The UtiliKey and Manager are always on my keyring. The UtiliKey provides me with a half-serrated blade, flathead screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver, bottle opener, and micro screwdriver. The Manager gives me a sharp emergency blade, toothpick, tweezers, a nail file, flathead screwdriver, small scissors, and a pen.
The Micro Pro give me a larger Phillips screwdriver, a larger flathead screwdriver, a light wire cutter, a set of light-duty pliers, and a small LED light. This is what my car keys are on, separated from my normal keys.

The Spydercard hides in my wallet or pack. I just like having the thing handy.
The folder in my pocket is usually a Leek, Cara Cara, RAT 1 folder, or Trance. It's my EDC blade.

any idea where i could get a sheath for an okapi? i have the corn knife one from one of our members and it rocks other than no sheath
