My Pair of Grail Sebenzas!

Hope owns two knives with that description, oval inlays on a regular handle. One mokume, one MOP. Maybe PP reg, maybe PP inlay, lets hope he chimes in with birthdates or some such thing.

If he notices this thread, Hope might offer to buy this knife. Get ready Mike.

Nice score!
I saw this kind of PP sebenza frist time
It is very interesting
I think it is handmade by CR and it is a pre-production for P model
Because the grind of blade and screw is same with H
Could you show me more pics?
Is it come with any paper or box?
And do you have any info from CR?

Stjames, my PP regular's date on cert is 4/96
What about your regular proto?
Thanks

Scott didn't have papers for the Galuka proto, but the box has a "1984-1995 / 11 Years of Excellece" sticker. My numbered small regular (#170) is dated 01/13/97. So your PP models must be pre production for the "regular" line. The first year for the LE Sebenzas was 1999.

Yes,you are right
I checked some pics of numbered regular sebenza:
Large regular (#15) is dated 7/14/96
Large regular (#19) is dated 7/17/96
Large regular (#26) is dated 7/16/96
Large regular (#59) is dated 9/25/96
small regular (#36) is dated 7/16/96
small regular (#127) is dated 11/6/96

So my PP is pre-production for the "regular" line
Galuka proto → PP → numbered regular

I can take a few more pictures once I get home later this week.

The PP Sebenza did not come with any papers or box. It does have a leather sheath hand made by Chris especially for this knife. Also included is a letter from Anne Reeve to the previous owner stating that the knife is authentic based on the pictures he sent her.

I hope to bring the knife to the upcoming California knife show in October and show it to Chris Reeve. It will be interesting to hear it's history and how many were made.
