Yes sir ree bobbo!

I just got my Spyderco Paramilitary off the UPS truck.

It has none of the problems that a few others have reported. It is a choice knife. I love it. All corners are softened, the blade is perfectly centered, the blade is hair-popping sharp, blade opens and closes smoothly, and the compression lock is working as advertised.

The G10 is fantastically grippy, the front choil is perfect, the grind is perfect.

Yeehaw!;)

Great job Sal and company! You guys rock. This thing is a cutting machine. Just what a knife is supposed to be.

Yeah, the Para is a fantastic knife. The one I have did come with a little play. I've tweaked it here and there, a little wearing in over the last 8 or so months and it locks up tight now. I recently bought a new house and put it to the test with about a hundred or so boxes. It's a champ, only sharpened it once.

Congrats Redwolf,
You will love your new paramil... they can get scary sharp: I pulled mine outta the box & promptly sliced off the tip of my middle finger while playing with it.
Blade length is good too- sizeable enough to handle all jobs, but short enough not to attract sheeple stares when you pull it out..
Cant wait for an updated version in the future.

So far......I TOTALLY Love this thing.

Geez eug2120, If I had a nickel for every time....yeah, you know the rest.
I hope you only slightly shortened that darned finger. ;-)

I think Sal and company really have the HT of S30v down pat. Yeah I agree that the blade is a good size for all around utility, but doesn't look like a "killer".

Proguide, I wish I could sharpen as good as those guys at Spyderco. I'm good at sharpening, but not great yet. ;-)

Thanks for sharing in my excitement.

What a great knife!

Good choice on the Para. For $6.00, I ordered a second clip and replaced the black finish with a brushed, satin finish to match the blade. Let's put it this way, I've never gone back to the black clip. The satin clip makes the knife look even more custom and expensive. Great all-round knife!

Congrats from another Para-Milie fan!

I have mine for four weeks now and absolutely love it.
It's production date is april 2006 and it is perfect in every respect: zero blade play (might be due to the switch to pb washers in the latest production runs), the blade is absolutely centered and razor sharp. :)

@TAH:
Is the satin finished clip you ordered curved like the original one or is it simply straight?

The second clip is identical to the curved one that comes with the Para. Spyderco doesn't sell a Para clip with a satin finish. It will be black and you will have to refinish it yourself with various grades of sandpaper. It was actually quite easy and fun to do.
