My passion is on hold for a while

Sorry to hear it Shark... This may not be the end of something, but the beginning. There is always great opportunity in change. I'm betting you may have felt like you were in a bit of a rut with the old job anyway. Surely there were things you didn't like about it. What better time to begin something new than now?

It's impossible to move forward when you are looking backward. Tomorrow belongs to you! A positive attitude is everything... You mention your 'age' while I see 'experience'. Life just threw you a hanging curve ball... knock it out of the park!

It is sad to hear this news.

Since you are part of the Busse family, you will have no regrets and attack the job market like Infi through a knot - no problem!

Best of luck and I pray that you will have a new job that you like even better very soon!

best

Thanks for the offer and interest. I’m not very mobile in the short term. My wife is an oncology nurse and works at a major hospital. All of our children and grandchildren are within a 1 hour drive and she would not be pleased with moving away from them. Also my mother-in-law passed away just before Thanksgiving and my wife is the executor of the will. The will is possibly being contested and we are responsible for the sale of the house, property and possessions. It will be another few months before the waiting period to contest the will is over and everything clears probate court before we can proceed.

Well my friend if anything changes let me know. I will be relocating to Puerto Rico this summer and no telling what I'll be doing then, but if before that, let me know.

Also, depending on your location, check and see if there are any distribution centers in you area. If they are anything like my area, they pay about 40k a year without incentives and bonuses for hourly and up to 100k+ plus bonuses and stock for managers depending on your background

Best wishes for you Shark; though tough for a while, things seem to work out best in the long run. Stay positive!;)

Shark, sorry to hear from a fellow NE Ohioan. We only have one HR person at my office in Twinsburg and she's a lifer, but I'll keep an ear out for you.

I tried to send you a PM but you can't accept them. Can you shoot me an email? Chad@pirtlemade.com

I've got a baby girl coming in July....... No frivalous spending, and work every Saturday. Im'a have sum fuuuuuuuun! Right there with you bud. Kinda.

Shark, send me an email. I keep a list of NE Ohio Bussekin fans, and we have occasional GTGs. Of late, up in Madison. I think that we will do a late spring/early summer event, and all are welcome. Meeting your fellow knife knuts is a good thing.

Actually I'm in Ohio and live about 15-20 miles from the Pro Football HOF in Canton. Ironically, I worked in HR, (employee benefits) but mostly spending my time in Workers' Compensation.

Too bad you aren't in Nebraska, with me leaving they are looking for an HR Manager to take my place.

Aon Hewitt does HR outsourcing and have work from home options (benefits, payroll, LOA, etc).

I know the feeling, working in the oil industry it had been a really tough couple of tears . I've seen lots of good friends let go and it's only going to get worse.

Yeah, I know I'm not alone in this. Its just new to me.

My wife felt bad and told me to go ahead and order the battle shark CG as a going away gift:D. She's pretty awesome. Only fitting since my other collection is shark teeth.

Also, e-mail sent to cpirtle and resinguy.

Thanks for all the support from this board.
