My personal commitment to you

Dear Yangdu,

I have not the words to express my combination of awe, respect, and gratitude for you, the kamis, sarkis, and everyone at HI. You make the finest khukris worldwide, but that's only the means you use to improve lives. I never believed that such a thing could be manifest in the world, until I found you. HI is not a company, but a family, and I am honored to be a very small part of that family. We have the utmost faith in you, Aunt Yangdu, and should you need us, no request would be too great.

Sincerely,
-Brian-

Yangdu

You have done a fine job and we all appreciate your hard work and willingness to try new thing and listen to our requests. I for one will keep on buying HI knives and khukuri's as long as they are here. I'm sure Uncle Bill is looking down on us now proud of all of us in the way we have supported you and each other since his passing.

For Semper Fi... Cute, when you're honorable...but:

It's

"Lie. Lie. Lie."

"Deny. Deny. Deny."

'Demand Proof."

and...

"Counter Accuse."

'tis why we have our own crest for it... :D

Thanks for your service, your commitment to excellence, and your obvious attention to craftsmanship. I'm glad I found this place and it exsists due to your family's work. It is much appreciated!

Nepal is a country in the balance between old-style communism, monarchy, and a capitalist economy. It is very interesting that Yangdu has demonstrated so all can see, that one way to success in a capitalist economy is by service. Provide people what they want, and they will want to give you their money and energy.

Energy can be more than just money. For instance, the untouchables making these products learn that their labors are highly valued, and they get increased self-respect through their service. Perhaps some of you remember the kami’s disbelief and inability to understand the request, when they were first asked to put personal identifiers (kami marks) on their work.

John Donne said in a sermon long ago, “No man is an island.” Mahayana Buddhist doctrine holds that the highest enlightenment embodies service to others. And service to others leads to success in a capitalist economy. It is interesting to see these seemingly separate concepts come together as a Nepalese woman from a strife-ridden country in political flux demonstrates how the values of service within a capitalist framework can lead to dignity, respect, and improved living conditions for the Nepalese laborer.

PS. Yangdu the moderator started this thread here. It sure seems to me to be about khukuris. Danged if I’ll be moving it.

Yep, it's about the quality of customer service AFAIC and I feel the same way.

Dear Miss Yangdu:

Speaking from my own experience in purchasing quite a number of models since May, I cannot see how you could possibly improve on the commitment to customers, product, and service. Your approach to those three business factors is already SUPERB, and truly a model for "how to do it RIGHT."

Thanks very much!

Dear Yangdu,

My life has been made better by visiting here.
