Unfortunately no... I should have grabbed that one.. but it went to a good home too.. I believe FlyinLC got that Umfaan.. :)

Thanks Ajack60! I have been searching for a perfect regular sebenza for awhile now.. When I saw this one on the FS thread, I just felt it calling to me. I was pretty depressed when it got sold and I was too late to grab it.

Fortunately, with persistence and luck, the original buyer finally decided to sell it to me... :) :) :) This piece was indeed meant for me... :)
 
That ZigZag is just amazing, I'm truly glad for your happiness with it.

I too just arranged the adoption of what is really my personal grail. The photo's drh posted are so great I already know what it will truly look like when it reaches my hand. I find the small 21 blade to be very capable and more "acceptable" in places I often find myself. I have realized that I much prefer inlays on a small. I've never had a DT damascus and have felt the urge a good while now. And finally, as the mammoth ivory production is no more, this beauty checks all of my boxes and for me is the top of my mountain (I'm not one for "historical" collector pieces; this one will be going in my pocket):

Hey buddy! I did not see your post until now. Guess it is safe to say that we both got our early Christmas presents. The one that you just got is a beautiful piece of art.

I have the same sentiments with you regarding the Small Sebenzas. I love how easy it is to carry and use on all the daily task that life throws at you. Sometimes I find myself holding and fondling my sebenza while driving. it helps me relax during long drives and traffic jams. :)

Enjoy that Ivory, carry and use it well... :)
