I made this to be my PERSONAL carry rig for my "fly" but I've decided to mod the knife to latchless and it just won't work out. This is leather over kydex. Retention is great even when riding or chasing on foot. I'd recommend carrying it clipped to the underarm of a vest (that's how I'd carry it). The spring clip is positioned so that all it's strength is focused against the draw meaning that you're not gonna yank the sheath off when you draw the knife. Kydex and clip are riveted and the leather is hand stitched.
