Thoughts?

Seems a bit limited in functions, maybe add a few more things like awl, scissors, bottle/can opener/pry bar, see how it looks.

cool compact idea! from the looks though it looks like you need to have the blades open to use the socket driver and I think that could lead to a nasty cut hand if you have to put some force behind it. keep up the brainstorming though i like the idea!

I like the idea. However, perhaps a blade with a wire cutting edge. Having the wire edge where your hand goes will lead to cuts for sure.

Thanks everyone. I agree... I'm going to post a revised version tomorrow... remove the wire cutting edge, remove the saw blade and substitute a bottle opener with a 1/4" socket driver.

A socket driver should be male, not female. What you have there is a wrench for 1/4" square nuts, unless you wish to attach a 1/4" ratchet to the knife. Also, a 2" deck screw works fine as a corkscrew, that's why he has the phillips head bit.

Great point on the socket driver being male, zaph1, I'll do that. It should be something that can integrate into the bottle opener.

Good point. I think I might ditch the saw (overkill for a keychain tool) and consider adding a magnet or friction holder in the handle for the adapter bit. Instead of the saw, a heavy-duty bottle opener would be good.

I like the changable blades. This could lead to a tool that could be small but customizable by the owner. Design it so that there are a few hundred possibilities and I think it would be great. One comment that I read over and over is, 'if only the multitool or SAK had X I'd buy it.'.
