Just wanted to share a group shot of my favorite production pocketknives. These are the ones I pocket most, and obsess over which to carry. Often I have 3 or more of these on me, just so they know they're loved.

The best thing about this herd is that at least half of them were previously owned and carried by my bladebrothers here in the folksy forum, and that gives them value beyond the dollar to me. :)

Thanks augustus, that is my recently acquired Case Bose Dogleg Jack. Ask me again in about 100 years. :);):)

Nice group shot there, Ford. Some fine knives in that collection of steel!

What's that on the bottom right? A slimline trapper? If so ho do you like it?

Mora, the bottom right is a Queen Utility Slim Trapper in D2, which by the way was recently reground by my buddy Tom Krein, and it is a light saber now.

If any of you folks have Queen D2 folders that have frustrated you with their thick and out of the box not so sharp edges, imho, it is worth the fee for a trip to the Krein shop for a makeover. It makes an already nice folder just terrific.

Ford,nice little roundup there,I recognize a few :D
What is at the top middle column ?
I have something that'll go with those real nice ,a different size than what you have there,I'll send it out this week.

Thanks Elliott. That Queen Canoe goes up the creek often with me. :)

Vince, you should recognize a few of those. :) Here's a better shot of the one you asked about. I have had it quite a while. It is a Case XX USA 3 dot 61051 LSSP lockback with real nice jigged wood scales. It is some variety of stainless. I bought it new many moons ago. It must have been in 1977 based on the blade i.d. script, if I'm calculating correctly.

1977 was also the year my ex and I conceived our 1st son, and the year I got my 1st ever new pickup truck, which was a Buckskin color `77 GMC 3/4 ton with 292 straight six and 4speed tranny with granny. It was a very good year. ;)

That's a beauty isn't it jackknife. As you probably know, that is the 3rd model in the Scagel series that Northwoods Knives have been producing. It's a very stout folder, and the stag on it is really off the charts.

I think it would be easier to buy pants with more pockets than to decide what knife to carry. That is one nice collection of carry knives. I am drawn to the top left one for some reason. What is it if you don't mind me asking?

Looks like a Dan Burke "Rancher" offered by Queen. (At least that's my guess.)

bozack, I'm glad you asked. As Blues said, that is a Queen Dan Burke series Rancher in scrumdidilitious stag and very well tempered bg42 with near custom quality fit and finish.

That one ranks high in my rotation because I got it from my sensei Thomason...and also it sometimes smells like burning sage brush. :)

My Queen made Dan Burke Rancher ranks at the top in fit and finish. It will definately hold its own with any custom made slippy. I currently rotate it with my Ray Smith barlow for edc.

A great rotation, fewpop, the top center one looks like a good user - well all of 'em do, but I like the top one a lot.
Thanks for showing them.

Great pic and great knives, fewpop.

And all in beautiful shape.

I'm wondering how/where you store them when they're not in your pocket ---
in zipper cases, a cabinet, a display case?

I think it would be easier to buy pants with more pockets than to decide what knife to carry.

Some days Ford carries them all in crossed bandoliers across his back and chest. Humans fear his touch while porcupines attempt to mate with him.

I have that same lockback. Its a great little knife. I also know of a display case in Chicago at an old hardware store that still has some 70's era Case knives for sale. I got one there for around $40. I have been tempted to put it in the rotation.
