• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

I now ( thanks to this forum) have enough extra survival stuff lying around to where i could assemble a PSK. So, here it is. its contents include:

10' of camo 550 paracord
1' of high visibility paracord
about 20' of twine with a couple snares worth of trap-wire wrapped around it
DMT course grit sharpening stone
non water-proofed fire-kit
-steel wool
-dryer lint
-alot of matches
water-proofed fire kit ( all of this is in the pill bottle)
-about 30 matches
-a good amount of magnesium shavings
- a slightly different approach to the PJCB's ( about 8 cottonballs all rubbed in PJ and wrappen in masking tape for less of a mess. there are two of these and they burn for at least 10 minutes each)
Hobo knife
sling shot elastic part
really thick rubber band
pocket chainsaw
gauz
band-aids
compass/whistle/magnifyer/thermometer
LED flashlight
( in know, i lack somthing to purify water. i just didnt have somthing like that on hand)

if you have any advise, i would like to hear it

looks like a pretty well done kit in my opinion-yeah once you add something for water (i suggest one of those cheap stainless cups and some pills or something) i think you will be pretty much set.

oh well maybe something like a space blanket or a big trash bag to make shelter easier?

ferro rod is on his sheath!

Garbage bag, for sure. Ive seen small replacement hydration bladders that roll up pretty small for water

+1 for the trash bag, I would also add a large zip lock for water.

You do have 2 meal tins which could be used to boil water if nothing else was at hand, but a few tables and a ziplock , small bladder or condom, make a pretty good compact water purification system
