Hey! I have one thats almost identical to that one! only difference is...well...none...same knife...mine's not in as good condition as that one...oh..wait...I forgot...it aint mine no more....:o

Of all the hundreds of Puukko's I've dragged home...most of them STILL sitting around unused, my wife latched onto that one like a duck on a junebug...so...now it's hers. From the few times I've managed to steal it back from her, I can tell it's a fantastic knife though....:D

I just finished a 3.5 inch bladed Puuko today....infact the epoxy is still setting as we speak...lotsa fun to make! (This one is absolutely gorgeous too...Maple Burl handles make even crude Neanderthals such as myself look like master craftsmen)

I've got a couple Brusletto Trolls that are really beautiful too. (too beautiful to use, infact)

Currently I'm trying to resist the Jarvenpaa Aito pictured here:

And you have seen Ragnars new line haven'tcha?

The traditional line line seem to have full length tangs that are peened over. They look like very good, strong user knives.

Congratulations on making your Puukko! Would you have a picture to share?

I'm trying to get one up as we speak...

I'm currently a bit under the weather and very much technically challenged, my wife is pretty much up to speed, but way far under the weather. Grouchy too....hence the reason I'm currently hiding downstairs in a dark computer room....:D

I love the sheath on that one Steve. Leather can do amazing things.

Edited. I gotta learn to make a stacked birch bark handle. I have river birch in my yard. Can I use that? How do you harvest the bark? Is it the peeling part you use, or do I need to skin some off of the tree?

Just go a leuku/puukko combination from Ragnar. Very nice. Sturdy sheath. Will probably become my EDC at the ranch.
