My Quest is over!

The Random Tasks were all shaped and polished by hand ,false edges were ground by hand .They sold very well Kershaw discontinued making them because they were so time consuming to make. The parts once ground are not interchangeable so all the sets had to stay together. It was a very labor intensive project. The Mini Task was made the same way.

And awesome knives they are, Hi Ken. I have all s except the lefties . The first time I saw these , was at a warehouse sale , they were selling minis for $20 and Randoms for $24, yup that's what I said, another one of those times that I can see 20/20.

I think I have all the Talons now. Plain Ti, PS Ti, PS Modified Ti, and PS G-10.
And to avoid all the trouble with tapping mod. talon for tip up I just switched the clip scales between the two knives. instant wave ;)

And 1500L is a direct mirror image of 1500. Only difference is the the placement of the liner lock, logos, and the clip.

Well, the Random Task was the first Kershaw designed by Ken Onion, and was also the first assisted opener by them and Ken as well. I believe it won Knife of the year at Blade, which was mid to late 90's.

98 to be exact. Mine will be 10 years old on the 25th. :D

It's still my all time favorite.

I like DV's thinking. Make some more with S110V!!
Pretty please with sugar on top. ;)
