my Ratweiler came!

I wear large - xl gloves and I can get all 4 fingers behind the finger groove, although just barely. I can almost fit my index and middle finger in the groove. This handle is way huge. With a closed fist on it I have an inch of G10 out each end of my hand and !/2 inch exposed tang at the bottom.

Thats great news to me thank you for the response Doke.

With the slimmer blade and good size handle this thing sounds promising I can't wait to get one now.

For all the people worried about it being under 1/4 inch just look at all the other successful knives out there that other makes make that are 3/16 with steels probably not near as tough at SR101.

I'm truly not worried about the 3/16 inch thick Ratweiler I don't want a honking fatty in a 7.5 inch blade anyway the reduction in thickness should add to its versatility.

Large handle with being able to choke back is a big plus for chopping too.
All in all I'm very excited for this release in CG!:D

zymologist, I'm glad the pic with the other makers helped. That was exactly my intent. I love my esee 6 but hate my 5. IMO way too thick for the length. Now I'm not against 1/4", I have a condor boomslang that sees the most use of anything I own. But the boomslang is 11", not 5". I'm not trying to start a debate here, my opinion is mine, and you can make your own. That's why I put the pics up with other makers I owned that people would be familiar with.

Done,

There was a recent thread on Chuddy Bear Sheaths.
Chuck had email problems & wasn't getting them.
He's a great guy tho.

Christmas is coming; tracking says my Ratweiler is on the truck for delivery today!!!:D:thumbup:

I think this knife is smoking. I am glad its .187 or less as it will handle more than you can put on it even in tough scenarios.

It may not pry the door off a tank but I dont want it too either;)

Yes and no...

see I have a big fight prior in KC ;)

I cant start training for blade until after I first conquer kC:D

Chuck (Chuddy) has been answering my email recently. He is real busy and the wait times are about 3 months - ouch.

Maybe try Chris Noe - Noe Leather. He recently did a nice sheath for me.

Congrats, that handle looks very comfortable. What does it measure at the widest point of the swells, if you have calipers? Good choice on the bruiser color too!

I'll have to check out kelly sheaths. Chuddy Bear looks great, i've contacted him twice and been ignored both times. I have a SkyStorm sheath for my Ratmandu and love it, but I don't know if he is expanding his line to cover new models now. I contacted him about a sheath for my Mud Mutt and he was too busy.

Looks awesome congrats !!!! Thanks for the pics I'm on the fence for that one. The comparison shots really help  Hey just FYI Chuddy Bear was having all kinds of computer/email problems just recently. I know he's trying to return any and all emails he was able to salvage. You may wanna give him another email just in case. I just got a reply from him the other day. Again nice pics :)
