My recent interest in Wingen/Othello now has me waiting on this incoming Boot Knife... Update: Received

The company went out of business late 1990's... The name brand was sold off afterwards.

Basically, it's very much like when Schrade and later Camillus cutleries went under... The brands were purchased and the new companies try riding on the coattails of the former glory that the brands once had.

Another good score! :)

Thanks for putting up the stamps with date listing. I've never seen it before. All mine have the 3rd from the right stamp. I'd guess from the 60's to the 70's dates. I thought I was the only Othello collector here.

Thank you! 😊
The last mark would be the one that was used by the buyers of the company name brand after Wingen/Othello had gone out of business during the late 1990's.

I received my Othello knife/dagger today.

Please read my following opinion on it in a 'Borat' accent... "Very nice!"

I really like the way they satin finished the flats of the blade, but high polished the blade's spine and from the bolster back to the pommel... Of course all of it is made of one piece of forged stainless steel.
👍😊👍
